BYE BYE GAS Rates
Say goodbye to current rates, discover what's new!
We don't know if you have grown fond of your gas rate, but you have to say goodbye to it because as of October 1, 2021, the Government establishes new gas rates.
Buuut, don't worry!!! Don't panic, this is not a price change, these are changes mainly related to consumption, transportation tolls and rate groups linked to volume.
The new rate structure is defined based on annual consumption, without taking into account the pressure of the network from which it is supplied to the consumer and the charges approved in the Resolution of May 27, 2021 of the CNMC will be applied. .
Below, we detail a summary table with the new rate groups depending on the volume of consumption:
CONSUMPTION TOLL C (KWH/YEAR)
RL.1 C ≤ 5,000
RL.2 5,000 < C ≤ 15,000
RL.3 15,000 < C ≤ 50,000
RL.4 50,000 < C ≤ 300,000
RL.5 300,000 < C ≤ 1,500,000
RL.6 1,500,000 < C ≤ 5,000,000
RL.7 5,000,000 < C ≤ 15,000,000
RL.8 15,000,000 < C ≤ 50,000,000
RL.9 50,000,000 < C ≤ 150,000,000
RL.10 150,000,000 < C ≤ 500,000,000 RL.11 C > 500,000,000
NEWS AND TRANSITION PROCESS
- For the purposes of the initial location of supplies in the new tariff groups as of October 1, 2021, the consumption recorded in the period between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 will be considered.
- The “gas year” will be considered the tariff period, that is, the period between October 1 of one year and September 30 of the following year.
- At the beginning of a new gas year, the person responsible for billing will proceed to check the correct tariff location and will proceed to relocate the corresponding supplies.
- The billing cycle for all supplies will be closed the day before the new tolls come into force (September 30, 2021), regardless of the number of days included in this invoice, so that until 30 September 2021 will be invoiced applying the tolls currently in force (RD 949/2001) and from October 1, it will be applicable and will be invoiced according to the tolls defined in Circular 6/2020.
